This side event, which will take place within the framework of the Twenty-Third Regular Session of the Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE) of the Organization of American States (OAS), is organized by the CICTE Secretariat, the Government of Mexico, the Latin American Jewish Congress (CJL), and the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre (UNCCT) of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT).

The main objective of the event is to facilitate a greater understanding of the evolution of the use of new and emerging information and communication technologies for terrorist and violent extremist purposes by identifying current trends, challenges, and best practices to prevent and counter this threat.
