6.1.1.x Police Personnel (rate)
"Police Personnel (Rate)" means the rate, per 100,000 inhabitants, of Police Personnel as at December 31.
The formula, for a given year or period, is: Police Personnel, Rate (PPR) = (TNPP/PT)*100,000 per.; where TNPP is the total number of Police Personnel; and PT is the total population.
Some countries with less than 100,000 inhabitants have their rates presented for comparison purposes.
"POLICE PERSONNEL" mean personnel in public agencies as at December 31 whose principal functions are prevention, detection and investigation of crime and apprehension of alleged offenders.
