In the framework of the Work Plan of the Inter-American Committee on Tourism (CITUR), the Community Based Rural Tourism initiative was established. In association with the George Washington University International Institute for Tourism Studies, and in collaboration with the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, a second webinar is held for a conversation on the particular challenges that COVID-19 is bringing to indigenous communities and tourism in Latin America.
