4.6.1.10 Acts against the natural environment, total number of offences (ICCS 10)
“Acts against the natural environment” are the criminal offences defined as such in Section 10 of the International Classification of Crime for Statistical Purposes (ICCS), UNODC, Mar 2015, pp.89-93. Those include: Acts that cause environmental pollution or degradation (1001); Acts involving the movement or dumping of waste (1002); Trade or possession of protected or prohibited species of fauna and flora (1003); Acts that result in the depletion or degradation of natural resources (1004); Other acts against the natural environment (1009); and subcategories of those, as also listed on pp. 30-31 of the ICCS.
