Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Secretary General Met with Delegation of the Andean Parliament

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, today met with a delegation from the Andean Parliament at the headquarters of the hemispheric Organization in Washington, DC.
Secretary General Insulza spoke with the Secretary General of the Andean Parliament, Eduardo Chiliquinga, and the Pro-Secretary for Political Affairs of the same organism, Carlos Augusto Chacón, on the key role of the legislature in the democratic life of the countries of the region. During the conversation, all agreed on the importance of bringing parliamentary activity closer to the citizens of the region through initiatives like Open Parliaments. They also agreed to further deepen the relations between the Organization and the Andean Parliament through the Section for the Support of Representative Institutions of the OAS Department of Political Affairs.
The Andean Parliament delegation also included Colombian Senators Luis Fernando Duque and Juan Carlos Restrepo, and the Ecuadoran legislator, Patricio Zambrano. At the meeting, Secretary General Insulza was accompanied by his Chief of Staff Ambassador Hugo de Zela, and the Senior Specialist of the Section for the Support of Representative Institutions of the OAS, Moisés Benamor.
The Andean Parliament is composed of Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Chile as an associate member.
