1.8 Intentional Homicide | By city
1.8.1.x Victims of intentional homicide in the largest city (rate)
RATE of victims of intentional homicide, in the largest city.

RATES are calculated per 100,000 inhabitants, by dividing the number of reported intentional homicide crimes in the largest city by the total population of the same city; the result is then multiplied by 100,000. Some countries with less than 100,000 inhabitants in the city have their rates presented this way for comparison purpose.

[Sources: Both the population data and the data on victims of intentional homicide in the largest city are provided by Member States through the United Nations Survey on Crime Trends and Operations of Criminal Justice Systems (UN-CTS).]
