Volume I: Private International Law in the Americas (1974-2000)

Overview: This is the first of three volumes that complete the series of books on the Course of International Law held annually in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, since 1974. This volume gathers all the courses of Private International Law offered between 1974 and 2000.

Content: This volume is composed of two parts and has eighty-four texts organized following the main events in the development of Private International Law in the Americas during the respective years.

The First Part of this book (Chapters I to VI) consists of courses about different aspects of the Inter-American Conferences of International Law (CIDIPs) as well as some courses on the general aspects of Private International Law.

The Second Part (Chapters VII to XI) consists of courses on particular issues on Private International Law or aspects that have not been addressed by the CIDIPs.

Volume II: Inter-American System (1974-2001)

Overview: This is the second of three volumes that complete the series of books on the Course of International Law held annually in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, since 1974. This volume contains all the courses on the Inter-American System offered between 1974 and 2001. 

Content: This volume is composed of two parts and has one hundred and five texts. Due to the rich information the texts have been organized by alphabetical order of the authors’ names.

All the texts are published in the original language in which the courses were presented.
