The essential outcome of these training activities is focussed is on knowledge and skills building for women political candidates and their teams to successfully run campaigns that take onboard as a central theme gender (perspectives) and women’s rights. The objectives for each workshop include the following: • To provide leadership training for female candidates and their teams; and women leaders. • To improve the understanding of governance and identify approaches/opportunities to promote gender equality and women’s transformational leadership at the national/local government levels. • To formulate strategies to overcome barriers which may limit womens’ involvement and active participation in political and decision-making capacities.
