Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) expresses to the people of Haiti and to all the people of the Americas its deepest solidarity in the face of the enormous crisis Haiti is suffering as a result of the natural disaster that took place this week.
In light of the disaster, with its catastrophic consequences, the IACHR conveys its sincere condolences to the family members of the Haitian women, men, and children who have died, as well as to the relatives of members of international organizations and forces who lost their lives while working in support of development and peace in that country.
The response of the international community, in particular the OAS Member States, has been immediate, and is critical to be able to mitigate to some degree the humanitarian crisis that is overwhelming the survivors in Haiti. The Inter-American Commission echoes the words of solidarity expressed by the OAS Secretary General and the call to continue joining efforts to help the people of Haiti at this time of tragedy.
A principal, autonomous body of the Organization of American States (OAS), the IACHR derives its mandate from the OAS Charter and the American Convention on Human Rights. The Commission is composed of seven independent members who act in a personal capacity, without representing a particular country, and who are elected by the OAS General Assembly.
