Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Secretary General Highlights Example of Institutional Control in Guatemala

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, today highlighted “the example set by the people and institutions of Guatemala, who resolved their recent crisis through the institutional path and observing due process.”
In these circumstances, Secretary General Almagro expressed his “best wishes to the new President of Guatemala, Dr. Alejandro Maldonado Aguirre, in the exercise of his constitutional mandate.”
“In this framework of the exercise of democratic practices and values, I reiterate my wish that the elections scheduled for this Sunday, at which the OAS Electoral Observation Mission will be present, take place peacefully, with transparency and active citizen participation,” he added.
The OAS and the international community will continue to accompany Guatemala in the meeting the steps established in its constitutional and legal framework.
