OAS Secretary General Travels to Barbados

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, travels today to Barbados, where he will meet with the Prime Minister, Freundel Stuart, and other authorities of the Caribbean country.

The OAS leader will be received in Bridgetown by Prime Minister Stuart; the Attorney General, Adriel Brathwaite; the Foreign Minister Senator Maxine McClean; and the leader of the opposition, Mia Motley. A meeting with the Chair of the Transitional College of the Permanent Electoral Council of Haiti (CT-CEP), Emmanuel Menard.

During his visit to Barbados, Secretary General Insulza will deliver an address to a forum on the “Strengthening of the Regulation of Political Parties and Political Financing in the Caribbean,” co-organized by the OAS.
