Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

Venezuela: OAS Secretary General Calls for Immediate Release of Vladimir Araque

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, made an urgent appeal on Thursday demanding the release of Vladimir Araque, who was arrested without a warrant on May 2, 2014 in Caracas.
In addition, and for humanitarian reasons based on Mr. Araque’s serious health condition, the leader of the OAS called it imperative to provide urgent medical attention to the political prisoner, which has so far been denied by authorities.
