Albert R. Ramdin is Reelected Assistant Secretary General of the OAS

The Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), the Surinamese Albert R. Ramdin, was reelected today to a second five-year term. The election was held during the Thirty-Ninth Special Session of the OAS General Assembly held at the Organization’s headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Assistant Secretary General Ramdin was reelected by acclamation after the proposal made by the Minister of Foreign Relations of Paraguay, Héctor Lacognata, elected as chair the Assembly.
