José Miguel Insulza is Reelected Secretary General of the OAS

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, was reelected today to a second five-year term during the Thirty-Ninth Special Session of the OAS General Assembly held at the Organization’s headquarters in Washington, DC.

Secretary General Insulza was reelected by acclamation after the Minister of Foreign Relations of Paraguay, Héctor Lacognata, elected to chair the Assembly, made the proposal.
