Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

ASSISTANT SECRETARY GENERAL OF OAS IN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO FOR OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF NEXT SUMMIT OF THE AMERICAS

The Organization of American States’ Assistant Secretary General is in Trinidad and Tobago on an official visit to meet with government leaders and participate in a meeting of the Summit Implementation Review Group (SIRG) as well as the Tenth International Conference for Geo Spatial Infrastructure.
Ambassador Albert Ramdin arrived in Port-of-Spain on Sunday for scheduled meetings with Prime Minister Patrick Manning; Foreign Affairs Minister Paula Gopee-Scoon; and National Coordinator and Special Envoy to the Americas, Ambassador Luis Alberto Rodriguez of the Trinidad and Tobago National Summit Secretariat. Ramdin is also scheduled to meet with heads of regional organization.
On Tuesday, Ambassador Ramdin delivers opening remarks for the Geo Spatial Infrastructure Conference—to be held at the University of the West Indies campus—under the theme, “Small Island Perspectives on Global Challenges: The Role of Spatial Data in Supporting a Sustainable Future.” He is expected to highlight “the importance of technology and geo-spatial data in bridging the digital divide and open possibilities for economic growth and social development.”
Thursday’s meeting in Tobago of the Summit Implementation Review Group will revolve around the thematic areas of human prosperity, energy security and environmental sustainability will likely be central themes of the Fifth Summit of the Americas to be hosted in Trinidad and Tobago in 2009.
