Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

Statement by the OAS General Secretariat on the Initiative of the Comprehensive Development Plan for Central America

The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS), expresses its deep satisfaction with the efforts and joint work carried out between the Governments of the United States of Mexico, the Republic of El Salvador, the Republic of Guatemala and the Republic of Honduras, as well as of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), for the purpose of launching the Comprehensive Development Plan for Central America.
Likewise, by highlighting the value and importance of this initiative, the OAS reaffirms its support for the actions implemented, in order to promote the economic and social growth of the Central American countries, from a vision of respect for human rights, social justice and equity.
The OAS General Secretariat expresses its gratitude for the work done by the Government of Mexico in the protection of and attention to migrants and refugees, in the search to guarantee their labor, social and cultural integration, from an approach of shared responsibility. The foregoing, based on the commitments acquired in the Global Compact for a Secure, Ordered and Regular Migration of the United Nations Organization (UN).
The OAS General Secretariat reiterates its commitment to consolidating protection plans for migrants throughout the region, as well as strengthening actions that generate more prosperous, just and inclusive societies in our hemisphere.
