OAS Permanent Council to Hold Three Meetings on Wednesday, December 5

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS), will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at 9:30 EST (14:30 GMT), in the Simón Bolívar Hall of the organization's headquarters in Washington, DC, to discuss the "Youth Conference 2012: Youth in Action for Democracy and Entrepreneurship."

At 10:30 EST (15:30 GMT), the Council will hold a regular meeting to consider the presentation of the Chairs of the Standing Committees of the Permanent Council and the Inter-American Council for Integral Development on the proposed prioritization of OAS mandates and the presentation on the functioning of the Consumer Safety and Health Network of the Americas, among other topics.

At 14:30 EST (19:30 GMT), the body will hold a special meeting to continue following the recommendations of the Report of the Special Working Group to Reflect on the Workings of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights to Strengthen the Inter-American System of Human Rights.
