OAS Secretary General Delivers Report on Drug Problem in the Americas

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, will deliver tomorrow to the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, the “Report on the Drug Problem in the Americas,” in a ceremony to be held in the Casa de Nariño, home of the Colombian presidency.

Secretary General Insulza will be accompanied at the event by his Secretary of Multidimensional Security, Adam Blackwell; and the Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD), Paul Simons.

The Report, which will be available tomorrow on the OAS website, was produced by the hemispheric organization during the last year following the mandate of the Summit of the Americas held in April 2012 in Cartagena, Colombia.

The event will be broadcast live on the OAS website, and on the website of the presidency of Colombia.
