OAS Roundtable to Address the Challenges of Multilateralism between the European Union and the Americas

The relationship between the Americas and the European Union will be the central theme of the XXIII OAS Policy Roundtable titled: “The European Union and the Americas: The challenges of Multilateralism” to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, May 4, at 15:00 EDT (19:00 GMT) at the Organization’s headquarters in Washington, DC.

The event will feature journalists, opinion leaders and researchers who will analyze the relationship between the two continents and the importance of multilateralism in tackling common challenges. The agenda for the event will include a presentation of the Política Exterior magazine, given by Áurea Moltó, Assistant Director of the magazine.

The panel discussion will include: Darío Valcárcel, Editorial Director of Estudios de Política Exterior S. A.; Guadalupe González, professor and researcher of the Center for Research and Teaching in the Social Sciences (CIDE); and Peter Hakim, President Emeritus of the Inter-American Dialogue. The event will be moderated by the OAS Executive Secretary for Integral Development, Ambassador Alfonso Quiñónez. The panelists’ bios can be found here.
