OAS and the Congress of the Republic of Colombia Organize Workshop and Roundtable on “A View of Corporate Social Responsibility from Congress”

The Organization of American States (OAS), together with the Congress of the Republic of Colombia, will hold a workshop and a roundtable on “A View of Corporate Social Responsibility from Congress,” to take place on May 4 and 5, in the Capital Building, Hall of the Congress, located at Number 8-68, 7th Street, Bogotá, Colombia.

The objective of the workshop is to encourage values and principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), to provide tools to accompany legislative management. The purpose of the dialogue is to promote an exchange of ideas between legislators and other actors involved in successful Social Responsibility strategies in Colombia, in order to reach a consensus on the social commitment required to bring about more sustainable and fair development in the country.

Both activities form part of the project “Social Responsibility and Parliamentary Management,” of the regional initiative of Corporate Social Responsibility in the Americas of the OAS, through the Executive Secretary for Integral Development (SEDI) and the Secretariat for Political Affairs of the OAS, with the support of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
