Annual Session of the Inter-American Committee against Terrorism

The annual meeting of the Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE) of the Organization of American States (OAS) will take place beginning tomorrow, March 17, until Friday, March 19, in the Hall of the Americas at Organization headquarters in Washington, D.C.

At the inaugural event, which will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, March 17, at 15:00 EST (19:00 GMT), both the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, and the Chairman of the Committee against Terrorism of the United Nations Security Council, Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan, will participate.

Among other activities during this Tenth Regular Session, elections will be held for CICTE Chair and Vice-Chair. The topic of collaboration between public and private partnerships in the fight against terrorism will also be analyzed.
