OAS to Hold Round table on the Role of the Permanent Court of Arbitration within the Pacific Settlement of Disputes

The Organization of American States (OAS), through its Department of International Law, will hold a Round Table on the Role of the Permanent Court of Arbitration within the Pacific Settlement of Disputes this Friday, April 8, 2011 in the Administration Building of Organization headquarters in Washington, DC.

The event, to begin at 9:30 EDT (13:30 GMT) will be attended by Garth Schofield, Legal Counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration, and Guillermo Fernández de Soto, President of the Inter-American Juridical Committee. It will feature a dialogue on topics of special interest regarding international private law.

This initiative is part of the Cooperation Agreement between the OAS and the Permanent Court of Arbitration. Its agenda may be found here.
