CHANGE OF DATE for the OAS Permanent Council Meetings to Receive Civil Society and IACHR in the Process of the Strengthening of the Inter-American Human Rights System

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) has decided to postpone the meetings that were scheduled for tomorrow, and that were intended to continue the debate on the process of reflection on the Workings of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights for the Strengthening of the Inter-American Human Rights System.

On Thursday, March 7 at 14:30 EST (19:30 GMT) in the Padilha Vidal Hall of the GSB Building in Washington, DC, the Permanent Council will hold a meeting to hear from civil society and other actors or users of the Inter-American Human Rights System.

On Friday, March 8 at 14:30 EST (19:30 GMT) in the Padilha Vidal Hall of the GSB Building in Washington, DC, Member States will continue the debate, in a meeting which will be attended by the President of the IACHR, Commissioner José de Jesús Orozco Henríquez.
