OAS Permanent Council to Analyze Situation in Nicaragua and Receive Report of the Working Group on Haiti

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, March 29 at 14:30 EDT (18:30 GMT) in the Hall of the Americas at OAS headquarters in Washington, D.C., to analyze ”the situation of permanent contempt of the State of Nicaragua, and the absolute vulnerability of the beneficiaries” of the provisional measures of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, and to receive “Presentation of the report of the Working Group on Haiti,” among other topics.

The meeting will be broadcast live - with interpretation in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese- on the OAS Website and the OAS Facebook page

Representatives of the media interested in attending the meeting in person must wear a face mask, keep safe distance whenever possible, and present an identity document and COVID- 19 vaccination card. Due to restrictions due to the pandemic, access to the press will be limited and spaces will be occupied strictly by order of arrival.
