OAS Secretary General Meets with Head of OECD

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, met today with the Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Angel Gurría, at Organization headquarters in Washington, DC. Gurría was invited by the head of the OAS to participate in the Lecture Series of the Americas to discuss the situation of the middle class in Latin America, in light of OECD’s Latin American Economic Outlook 2011.

At the meeting, the two leaders talked about current political and economic events in the continent, giving special attention to the recent Ibero-American Summit in Mar del Plata.
