Permanent Council discusses arrangements for Meeting of Foreign Ministers

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) approved today the agenda, rules of procedures and order of precedence for the Twenty-Sixth Meeting of Consultation of Foreign Ministers convened at the request of the Government of Costa Rica and to be held on December 7 in Washington DC.,

According to the resolution approved today, the items on the agenda for the said meeting are: the presentation of the Secretary General’s report of the situation in the border between Costa Rica and Nicaragua, and the adoption of "appropriate measures".

The regulation stipulates that the delegations’ order of precedence is decided by lot, which established that Dominica will be the delegation to open the meeting followed by all other countries according to the alphabetical order in Spanish.
