Senior OAS Officials Meet With CARICOM

José Miguel Insulza, Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), and Albert Ramdin, Assistant Secretary General, met today with the heads of delegation of the countries of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), during the organization’s 43rd General Assembly, which is taking place in Antigua, Guatemala.

During the meeting, the interest of the Caribbean diplomatic representatives focused on the positive impact for the region of the Report on the Problem of Drugs in the Americas which was recently presented by Secretary General Insulza. They also discussed the best ways to pursue cooperation between the OAS and the Caribbean countries in the areas of education and professional training.
