Secretary General Insulza meets with the Minster of Foreign Affairs of Bolivia

José Miguel Insulza, Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bolivia, David Choquehuanca, on the occasion of the hemispheric organization’s General Assembly, which opens today in Antigua, Guatemala.

During their meeting, the two officials discussed the central theme of the Assembly, “For a comprehensive policy against the world drug problem in the Americas,” the current political situation in the hemisphere, and the second version of the “Strategic Vision of the OAS” drawn up by Secretary General Insulza. During their dialogue they paid particular attention to the Report on the Drug Problem in the Americas, which was prepared by the OAS under the leadership of its Secretary General.

Also present at the meeting were the Permanent Representative of Bolivia to the OAS, Ambassador Diego Pary, and the Secretary General’s Chief of Staff, Ambassador Hugo de Zela.
