Bibiana Serna

Bibiana Serna, is a young professional who holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from ICESI University of Cali, Colombia. Ms. Serna began her professional career working for Colgate Palmolive where she served as a Supply Chain Training Analyst. In 2013 Ms. Serna joined the Department of Sustainable Development under the Sustainable Cities Initiative, where she performed an energy efficiency assessment for different economic sectors of the city of Medellin.

Currently, Ms. Serna is supporting different areas of work within the Sustainable Energy Division such as the US-Brazil Biofuels Initiative and the Closed Looped Cycle Production in the Americas Program of the Department. Ms. Serna is committed to these projects especially because she believes that the path towards a more sustainable world is through the promotion of the principles of Cradle to Cradle and Circular Economy; as well as the need for increased use of renewable energy solutions.
