OAS Secretary General Visits Colombia and Argentina

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, will travel to Colombia today and Argentina on Monday to hold meetings with the highest authorities of the two Member States of the Organization.

In Bogotá, the Secretary General will meet with the President of the Republic, Juan Manuel Santos, Vice President Angelino Garzón, and the Minister of Foreign Relations, María Ángela Holguín. The head of the OAS will also participate in the forum, “100 Years of El Tiempo newspaper,” in which he is to be the main speaker on the panel titled, “What is the Future of Democracy?”

In Buenos Aires, Secretary General Insulza will meet with the Minister of Foreign Relations, International Commerce and Culture, Héctor Marcos Timerman.
