Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.
Approximately six weeks after the end of each semester, the OAS publishes a Semiannual Management and Performance Report, which since 2013 includes reporting on programmatic results. The full texts may be found here.

OAS and El Salvador Sign Agreement for the XIX Inter-American Travel Congress

The Government of El Salvador and the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) today signed an agreement for the XIX Inter-American Travel Congress that will take place on September 29 and 30, 2011, in San Salvador.
At the signing ceremony, held at OAS headquarters in Washington, DC, Secretary General José Miguel Insulza thanked the Government of President Mauricio Funes for its willingness to provide support in the organization of this Congress "at a critical time for the economies and development of our countries."
Referring to the importance of the issue of tourism development for many countries in the region, the head of the hemispheric organization affirmed that "we are extremely pleased to see how Latin America and the Caribbean have recovered from the crisis. However, disaggregated figures in other sectors tell a more complex story. The tourism industry has been affected not only by the crisis, but also by other issues such as changes in the structure of tourism, natural disasters and health problems, such as the one that struck Mexico a couple of years ago."
The Secretary General also referred to the need for Caribbean countries to "strengthen, diversify and expand its tourism activities," which “will lead to the generation of income and jobs."
The Minister of Tourism of El Salvador, Jose Napoleon Duarte, for his part, was pleased that his country will be the host of the hemispheric meeting "on an issue of great importance for the economic development of the region." He also noted that the Government of El Salvador wants to highlight for the meeting the connection between tourism and poverty alleviation. "Our countries need hope and opportunities, and this is precisely an opportunity," he said.
The OAS Assistant Secretary General, Albert Ramdin, and several representatives of member countries and observers of the organization attended the signing ceremony.
