OAS Calls for Submissions to 2014 Signs of Competitiveness in the Americas Report

  July 7, 2014

The Organization of American States (OAS) invites public and private institutions in the region to submit contributions to the 2014 Signs of Competitiveness in the Americas Report. The Report is produced by the Inter-American Competitiveness Network (RIAC) with contributions from members of that initiative, including governments, private sector competitiveness councils, renowned experts, and multilateral and academic institutions.

The Third Edition of the Signs of Competitiveness in the Americas Report will focus on the main theme of the VIII Americas Competitiveness Forum: "The Human Imagination at Work: Driving Competitiveness, Promoting Innovation". The two previous editions of the report are available here: 1st Edition and 2nd Edition.

The annual report serves as a reference and resource on the current challenges in competitiveness, innovation and technology. It also contains an catalogue of successful experiences and lessons learned from the countries of the region. In its third year, the report has become a valuable resource for authorities and public policy makers, entrepreneurs, universities and civil society.

This is an effort led by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago as the Americas Competitiveness Forum host country and RIAC Chair Pro Tempore, and the Organization of American States as RIAC Technical Secretariat.

The Report will be launched and presented during the VIII Americas Competitiveness Forum and at the RIAC Annual Meeting of Ministers, High-Level Authorities and Competitiveness Councils of the Americas to be held from October 8 to 10,2014, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
The deadline to receive contributions is July 30.
