Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

Permanent Council Decides on Procedural Issues for the Meeting of Consultation of Ministers of Foreign Affairs

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) held a meeting this morning in Washington DC to advance in the preparations for the Twenty-Eighth Meeting of Consultation of Foreign Ministers to be held this Thursday, July 3 at 15:00 EDT (1900 GMT) at OAS headquarters, which will consider the issue of “Sovereign Debt Restructuring: The Case of Argentina and its Systemic Consequences.”
Today’s meeting approved the draft agenda, the draft schedule in which a closed session prior to the start of the meeting was established, and the draft rules of procedures for the Foreign Ministers Meeting. It was also established by lottery that Venezuela will serve as provisional Chair in the opening session of the Meeting of Consultation until the Chair is elected.
The meeting of Foreign Ministers was approved by acclamation at the Permanente Council meeting held on Monday June 30.
