OAS Assistant Secretary General Meets with Foreign Ministers at COFCOR

The Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Albert Ramdin, met with several Foreign Ministers from around the hemisphere, at a meeting of the Council on Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR), in Paramaribo, Suriname.

The OAS official held bilateral meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Guyana and several others.

According to Assistant Secretary General Ramdin, the discussions with the Foreign Ministers focused on recent developments in the hemisphere, the perspectives of governments and ways to strengthen collaboration by finding common ground.

Assistant Secretary General Ramdin made presentations during the COFCOR meeting to the Council on OAS activities in the hemisphere, the outcome of the Summit of the Americas in Cartagena, and the upcoming OAS General Assembly in Bolivia.
