Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

New Representative of Suriname to the OAS Presents Credentials

The new Permanent Representative of Suriname to the Organization of American States (OAS), Niermala Hindori-Badrisingh, today presented to the Secretary General, José Miguel Insulza, the credentials that accredit her to the hemispheric body.
Ambassador Hindori-Badrisingh recalled that the Government of Suriname "attaches paramount importance to the role of the OAS as an eminent multilateral forum for political dialogue and collective action in the Western Hemisphere." She added that in her view "this body is ideally placed to strengthen regional cooperation among Member States in areas of mutual interest," and she acknowledged the contribution of the OAS on issues such as democracy, human rights, peace, security and integral development in the region.
The Surinamese diplomat said the region faces many challenges and called to "strive towards the goal of strengthening political stability, citizen security and prosperity." The Ambassador also announced that the Government of President Bouterse has decided to establish a representation to the OAS different from that to the U.S. Embassy, in order to contribute to a "more efficient and effective OAS."
When receiving the letters from the hands of the new Representative, Secretary General Insulza stressed the distinguished career of Ambassador Hindori-Badrisingh, and the timely moment for the designation as the Organization prepares for key decisions. Among them he mentioned the discussions on improving the human rights system and the preparations for the Sixth Summit of the Americas, to be held in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia), in April 2012.
The head of the hemispheric Organization praised the commitment and leadership of the government of Suriname on issues such as the fight against drugs, the negotiations for the Social Charter of the Americas, and of the Seventh Inter-American Meeting of Ministers of Education to be held in March in Paramaribo.
The ceremony, held at OAS headquarters in Washington, DC, was also attended by the Assistant Secretary General, Albert Ramdin; the Vice Chair of the Permanent Council and Permanent Representative of Canada, Allan Culham; and several Ambassadors to the Organization.
