Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Brings Together Ministers of Labor and Representatives of Workers and Employers of the Americas in Mexico

The XIX Inter-American Conference of Labor Ministers of the Americas (IACML), convened by the Organization of American States (OAS), will bring together the highest authorities in the sector and industry representatives on December 3 and 4 in Cancun, Mexico to discuss and make decisions regarding the priorities and actions to be taken at the hemispheric level.
The XIX IACML brings together ministers with representatives of workers, employers and international organizations on the theme "Achieving Decent Work with Social Inclusion and Sustainable Development in the Americas." During the meeting, they will also discuss other key issues in the field of labor, such as education and work, equity and labor inclusion, labor migration and hemispheric cooperation for strengthening Ministries of Labor. The Declaration and Plan of Action of Cancun are expected to be approved at the end of the XIX IACML, bringing new hemispheric consensus on priorities and actions to take on issues of labor and employment in the region.
The opening session will be attended by the Minister of Labor of Colombia and President of the XVIII IACML, Luis Eduardo Garzon; the Regional Director for the Americas of the International Labor Organization (ILO), Jose Manuel Salazar-Xirinachs; the Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare of Mexico, Alfonso Navarrete Prida; and the Executive Secretary for Integral Development of the OAS, Ambassador Neil Parsan.
