Telecommunications Advisory Committee of the OAS Meets in San Salvador

The Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL), an agency of the Organization of American States (OAS), will officially open tomorrow, Tuesday, September 11 in San Salvador (El Salvador), its XXI Meeting of the Permanent Consultative Committee I.

At the meeting, which will run until Friday September 14, experts from the public and private sectors of the region will discuss policy and regulation, and the deployment of technologies and services, in order to identify measures and actions to promote the acceleration of the development of infrastructure and telecommunications services in the hemisphere.

On Wednesday 12, a Seminar will be held on "Cloud Computing," in which the perspectives of governments, providers and users will be analyzed, as well as the associated challenges and opportunities arising from the development and use of this innovative model.
