OAS and AMERIPOL Organize Conference on Quality Management and Certification for Police Institutions in the Americas

The Organization of American States (OAS), together with the American Police Community (AMERIPOL), and in collaboration with the Colombian National Police, will organize the conference “Quality Management and Certification: Tools for the Modernization of Police in the Americas,” to be held in Bogota on June 20 and 21.

Chiefs and planning directors of police institutions from OAS Member States will take part in the conference, aimed at strengthening their institutions with strategies that guarantee transparency, efficiency, efficacy, and effectiveness, promoting improvements in police services through the adoption of systems of quality management that allow better service to the community. The forum will provide an excellent opportunity for exchanging best practices, challenges and other positive experiences in the field of quality management among the national counterparts in attendance.

AMERIPOL President and General Director of the Colombian Police Major General José Roberto León Riaño will inaugurate the event. The conference will be held in the Colombian National Police Officers Social Center and has been made possible thanks to the contribution of the government of Canada.
