OAS Hosts Reception and Jazz Performance on Conclusion of Pan American Day and Week 2024

The Organization of American States (OAS) will host, on Thursday, May 2 at 16:00 EDT (20:00 GMT) a reception to mark the conclusion of Pan American Day and Week activities, followed by a special performance by the U.S. Army Blues jazz ensemble.

The reception marking the conclusion of Pan American Day and Week will celebrate the transformative power of cultural diplomacy to foster dialogue, diversity and Inter-American cooperation.

The 18-piece U.S. Army Blues is comprised of jazz musicians from across the United States who perform public concerts, educational outreach, and the preservation of the tradition of America’s unique art form: jazz. The Blues Alley Youth Jazz Orchestra, comprised of accomplished student musicians ranging in age from 13 to 18 years old, will open the event.
