OAS Hosts the Third Conference of the States Party to CIFTA
May 11, 2012
The Organization of American States (OAS) will host the Third Conference of the States Party to the Inter-American Convention against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, and Other Related Materials (CIFTA), on May 14 and 15 in the Padilha Vidal Room of the General Secretariat Building of the OAS in Washington, DC.
The quadrennial meeting takes place in the context of major challenges in the region before the wave of crime and violence that plagues many areas in the Americas.
