OAS to Host a Debate on "Trafficking of Women and Girls in Latin America and the Caribbean: Regional Challenges"

The Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM) of the Organization of American States (OAS) will host a meeting on Tuesday, May 23, at 9:00 am EDT (14:00 GMT) to discuss "Trafficking of Women and Girls in Latin America and the Caribbean: Regional Challenges," at OAS headquarters in Washington, DC.
The meeting - organized together with Women's Link Worldwide and the Observer Mission of Italy to the OAS - includes a round table and a discussion session including experts from across the region, and seeks to highlight common challenges in Identification and assistance in five countries of the region (Mexico, Paraguay, Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru) through the socialization of the report “Victims of trafficking in Latin America. Between lack of protection and indifference,” by Women's Link Worldwide.
