Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

The OAS has discussed for several years the real estate issue, the funding required for maintenance and repairs, as well as the deferred maintenance of its historic buildings. FORUM AT OAS TO ADDRESS FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION IN THE AMERICAS

“Freedom of Expression in the 21st Century in the Americas” will be the topic of a panel discussion on Friday, May 19, at the Organization of American States (OAS). The forum is part of The Americas Project 2006, a joint initiative with Rice University’s James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy.
The panelists are Santiago Canton, Executive Secretary of the OAS Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR); Diana M. Daniels, Vice President of the Washington Post Company and President of the Inter American Press Association (IAPA); and Pablo Bachelet, Washington correspondent for the Miami Herald. Maria E. Levens, Director of the OAS Human Development Fund Committee, will moderate the forum, which includes a question-and-answer session.
The annual Americas Project, which began in 1997, is part of the institute’s effort to increase awareness of Latin American issues. It provides a leadership forum for emerging economic, political, and cultural pacesetters from the Western Hemisphere to engage in dialogue on topics of importance to the hemisphere.
