64th Lecture Series of the Americas: “Politics in the Digital Age: Artificial Intelligence and Democracy”

Under the theme: “Politics in the Digital Age: Artificial Intelligence and Democracy” the Organization of American States (OAS) will host the 64th Lecture Series of the Americas on Tuesday, March 29 at 11:00 EDT (15:00 GMT).

The event will feature as its main speaker the Director of the Institute for Democratic Governance and Professor at the European University Institute, Daniel Innerarity and will include remarks by:

  • The OAS Secretary General, Luis Almagro
  • The Secretary for Hemispheric Affairs of the OAS, James Lambert
  • The Rector of San Martin de Porres University, José Antonio Chang
  • The Director of the Department of Effective Public Management of the OAS; Maria Fernanda Trigo
  • The Permanent Observer of Spain to the OAS, Carmen Montón

The Lecture Series of the Americas is a program created in 2004 by the OAS Permanent Council to enrich the hemispheric debate on the main issues on the Inter-American agenda. Since its creation, 63 lectures have been held, thanks to the support of the San Martín de Porres University of Peru and other contributions from some permanent observer countries.
