OAS Hosted Fourth Preparatory Meeting for the Summit of the Americas

The Organization of American States (OAS) today hosted the fourth regular meeting of the Summit Implementation Review Group (SIRG) in preparation for the Seventh Summit of the Americas, to be held on April 10 and 11 in Panama.
The meeting, held at the headquarters of the OAS in Washington, DC, was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Panama, Luis Miguel Hincapié. As the host country, Panama exercises executive tasks in the preparations for the Summit, which is focused on the central theme of “Prosperity with Equity: the Challenge of Cooperation in the Americas.”
The SIRG is the main executive body of the Summits Process and is composed of the governments of the Hemisphere, which are represented by National Coordinators.
