Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

Secretary General Insulza Meets with the Director General of the Colombian Police

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, and the Director General of the Police of Colombia, General Rodolfo Palomino, today held a meeting within the framework of the Fourth Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Public Security in the Americas, which concludes today in Medellin, Colombia.
During the meeting, the two officials reviewed the progress made in security in the region and discussed some of the remaining challenges and areas of existing and future collaboration between the OAS and Colombia. Secretary General Insulza thanked General Palomino for the Colombian government's initiative to host the ministerial security meeting, which aims to broaden effective cooperation, facilitate knowledge transfer, and support technical assistance and the exchange of effective practices on security.
In the framework of the bilateral meeting, the leaders of the OAS the Colombian police agreed on the relevance of American Police Community (AMERIPOL) led by General Palomino, and reiterated their support for the institution which facilitates cooperation and the effective exchange of information to support public security.
