Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Secretary General Receives Delegation of the Regional Alliance for the Freedom of Expression and Information

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, today received members of the Regional Alliance for the Freedom of Expression and Information, headed by its Executive Secretary, Karina Banfi.
During the meeting, held at the headquarters of the organization in Washington, D.C., the two representatives explored mechanisms to increase the cooperation between the two entities and discussed the 146th Period of Sessions of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), taking place this week.
The Regional Alliance for the Freedom of Expression and Information is a network of 22 civil society organizations that work for the promotion of and access to public information, transparency, and freedom of expression in the Americas.
Also present at the meeting were the OAS Secretary of External Relations Alfonso Quiñonez; Moisés Sánchez from the non-governmental organization Pro Access of Chile; Alejandro Delgado from the Costa Rican Institute for Press and Freedom of Expression; Camilo Sánchez from the NGO DeJusticia of Colombia; Carlos Correa of Espacio Público of Venezuela and Alexandre Sampaio from Article 19 South America.
