La Novena Reunión Plenaria Ordinaria de la Red Consumo Seguro y Salud de la OEA (RCSS), auspiciada por la Subsecretaría de Acciones para la Defensa de las y los Consumidores de Argentina, se celebró de manera híbrida el 2 de noviembre. De los 21 Estados miembros de la RCSS, 19 participaron en la reunión plenaria de este año: 7 países, incluido el anfitrión Argentina, se reunieron en persona en Buenos Aires, mientras que los otros 12 participaron de manera virtual.
The Ninth Regular Plenary Meeting of the OAS Consumer Safety and Health Network (CSHN), hosted by the Undersecretariat of Actions for the Defense of Consumers of Argentina, was held on November 2nd. Out of the 21 CSHN member States, 19 participated in this year’s hybrid Plenary meeting: 7 countries, including the host Argentina met in person in Buenos Aires while the other 12 participated remotely.
WASHINGTON, D.C, March 15, 2021. - World Consumer Rights Day is celebrated every March 15. The United Nations (UN) declared World Consumer Rights Day in 1983, to commemorate the speech given by President John F. Kennedy on March 15, 1962 in which the consumer was recognized as a fundamental element of the society. In 2021, the Consumer Safety and Health Network (CSHN) joins this commemoration to promote respect and protection of consumer rights, and to consolidate the national and regional consumer protection systems aimed at strengthening consumer product safety.
