International Metrology Cooperation in Support of Energy & Environment

The side event convened on September 7 and 8, 2017 on the sidelines of the Third Ministerial Meeting of the Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas (ECPA) in Viña del Mar, Chile. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Organization of American States (OAS) hosted this activity that reinforced the importance of accurate and reliable measurement to enable energy transition in the Americas.

Panel Objective
To raise awareness among high-level government officials and technical stakeholders of the value of metrology in improving measurement capabilities supporting the development of sustainable energy technologies and low carbon growth in the Americas.
