Exhibits - Human Rights in the Americas

The Columbus Memorial Library is pleased to continue its Exhibit Series, showcasing the materials from its unique collection.  The exhibit is entitled “Human Rights in the Americas” and displays basic documents on Human Rights, documents and publications of the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights as well as material from the United Nations including its charter and a compilation of International Instruments.

Among the historical documents included is the March 30, 1948 Final Act of the Ninth International Conference of American States where the American Declaration of the Rights and Duties of Man was adopted.  Material in various formats including posters and CDs are on display.

The exhibit is mounted in the display cases on the corridor behind the Patio of the Main Building and in the Reference Area of the Library.  It will remain up until the end of February, 2003.

Thanking you.
