       Due to Ecuadorís special geographical localization, plant life is exuberant and typical of humid tropical forests in the lowlands, and is characterized by huge and diverse amount of flora and fauna. The Ecuadorian Amazon is home to more than 250 species of trees per acre, 600 species of fish and more than
250
species of amphibians and reptiles and over 1,000 species of colorful birds.

The Galapagos Islands were declared as Mankindís Patrimony due to the very special ecosystems that live on the Islands.*
